The Kroc Center in Suisun City received the “Business of the Year––Suisun City” award from the Fairfield-Suisun Chamber of Commerce during the Buzz Awards event on June 20.

The award was given based on the tallied votes from the 500 members of the Chamber of Commerce.

“We are humbled to win such a prestigious award in our community,” said Capt. Jonathan Harvey, Solano County Coordinator. “Our team is to be commended as their commitment to excellence and passion for serving others has not gone unnoticed by our community’s highest leadership.”

The Fairfield-Suisun Chamber of Commerce has awarded the “Business of the Year” for over 60 years, but for the most recent event the Chamber decided to have an individual  award for each community.

“The Salvation Army Kroc Center has shown a commitment to serve both communities,” said Debi Tavey, Fairfield-Suisun Chamber of Commerce president and CEO. “We’ve had members telling us that they have a deep respect for The Salvation Army. The Kroc Center has given back, helping to clean up the neighborhood and provide a safe place for kids to come. We’re lucky to have them.”
