The Salvation Army West-Retired Officers Association (SAWROA), under the leadership of Major Oliver Stenvick, is planning the first-ever Western territorial retired officers retreat, to be held May 20-23, 2004, at Mt. Crags Camp.

“Early bird registration will begin after the first of the year and fees will be based on the type of accommodations available,” said Finance Chair Commissioner Kenneth Hood.

Lt. Colonels Mervyn and Shirley Morelock are co-chairs for preparing the parliamentary structure of SAWROA; Majors Kenneth and Betty Gibson are co-chairs for the transportation committee and are working to ensure all retired officers using public transportation will have transport to and from Mt. Crags Camp.

The publicity committee, chaired by Major Lucille Youngquist, will be promoting the retreat and keeping it uppermost in the thoughts of all. Commissioner Carol Saunders, as the hostess chair, will make sure all are well cared for and well fed during the retreat.

Commissioner Robert Saunders will work closely with Stenvick on the scheduling and activities for the retreat
