I’ll Fight Day

Join a day of servant evangelism on Dec. 6.

This year on December 6, Salvation Army youth from across the world will participate in servant evangelism during “I’ll Fight Day.”

The idea is simple gather your friends and surprise people with God’s love.

As William Booth said, “Show them the very essence of religion is love; the love that shows itself in benevolent effort for the salvation of others.”

Major Ivan Wild, Western territorial youth secretary, expressed his desire to see this territory’s youth act as servants.

“It would be great if every young person in the Western Territory were committed for one day to work for a common cause,” Wild said. “This is an opportunity to be part of something much bigger than your own youth group or corps, while still acting locally. It does not take much preparation, much money or much effort it only takes a desire and a commitment to make a difference in your community.”

Visit the website, www.illfightday.com, for ideas of practical ways to display the love of Christ in your community, including giving out free hot chocolate, returning carts for shoppers in a store parking lot, or paying for washing machines and dryers at a Laundromat.

“Imagine 1,000 young people from the Western Territory setting December 6 aside to ‘fight’ for the Kingdom of God,” Wild said. “Committing the day to prayer and putting it into action can be a powerful thing. On December 6 countless lives will be affected and many will be blessedbut you must get involved.”

We want to know what your corps did during I’ll Fight Day. Share your story and photos with ill fight day.com and with New Frontier at new.frontier@usw.salvationarmy.org.

“If the people will not come to see us, the greater is the necessity and urgency that will be laid upon us to go to them,” Booth said. “And to them we Salvationists must and will go.”
