IS OPENING UP A NEW STATE CERTIFIED NONPUBLIC EDUCATION SCHOOL. BOOTH IS LOCATED IN LINCOLN HEIGHTS, (JUST FIVE MILES FROM DOWNTOWN L.A.) ADOLESCENT GIRLS AND SOME BOYS WILL ATTEND THIS INNOVATIVE AND EXCITING PROGRAM. WE ARE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE FLEXIBLE, CARING, EMPATHIC, DEDICATED AND SPIRITED. POSITIVE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT WITH STAFFING RATIO OF 1 STAFF FOR EVERY 4 STUDENTS. THE SCHOOL PROGRAM WILL BE AN ADJUNCT TO BOOTH RESIDENTIAL THERAPEUTIC MILIEU. THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE LATE OCTOBER OR NOVEMBER:

DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION: M.A. in Education or a related field. Should have or qualify for a California Special Education Credential. Direct experience with emotionally and behaviorally disturbed adolescents. Experience in a nonpublic school is a plus. Salary range: $42,000–$56,000 yearly with benefits.

CREDENTIALED TEACHERS: B.A/B.S. plus CBEST is a must. California Standard Teaching Credential and Special Education Permit/Credential are a plus. Direct experience with disturbed adolescents in public or private school. Nonpublic school experience is an advantage. Salary range: $23,000–$38,000 for regular school year and 6 week summer school program.

BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST: B.A/B.S. in a related field. Bi-Lingual in Spanish is a necessity. Should have or qualify for a California 30 day Substitute Permit (must have passed the CBEST exam). Direct experience with disturbed adolescents in either a school or a residential facility. Salary range: $21,000–$25,000 yearly with benefits.

TEACHER ASSISTANTS: B.A./B.S. preferred. CBEST is an advantage. Experience with emotionally and behaviorally disturbed adolescents is a plus. Salary range: $15,000–$21,000 for regular school and 6 week summer program.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/SECRETARY: Bi-Lingual in Spanish is necessary. Computer skills proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Organized, bright, capable person to assist Director in all facets of operation. Detailed work combined with good interpersonal skills. Any school experience is an advantage. Salary range: $18,000–$24,000 yearly with benefits.
